The Mugen World Race 2005 took place in Furulund Sweden. On the practice on Friday the heaven opened itself with heavy rain, so nearly nobody practice.
On Saturday morning it was perfect weather and the track was drying up very fast, so for the qualifying the track was in perfect condition.

After two qualifying rounds Magnus Pålsson Xray/Siro was in the top following by his brother Mikael. Magnus was driving with new tires from DLD in France that worked very good on the track (Blockpass). After all the qualifying heats it was Mikael Pålsson in first place followed by Magnus Pålsson in second place.

In the semi-final Magnus lead nearly all the way but just before the last refuelling the car stopped - no fuel. He lost nearly two laps but in the end he took second place anyway.
In final Magnus started in fourth place but after the two first corners he was in second place. The lead changed three times (between Magnus and Mikael) in the first 15 minutes.

It was very close racing between the two drivers with clean driving from both.
Every time when Magnus got the lead, all people on the grand stand cheered. Magnus had big problems when he was lapping all the other drivers in the final, because eight of the cars in the final was Mugen...

In the end of the final Magnus car stopped with a broken glowplug so in the end Mikael won with 2 laps in front of Magnus in second place and Joacim Hansson in third.
Magnus had the 10 fastest lap times in the final, his best lap time was 31,37 sek and Mikael's best was 31,70 sek.

The whole weekend the car worked perfect and Magnus was very happy with the handling of the car. Next race will be the European Championchip in France.
